Albania International Guitar Competition
12 – 15 December 2024 ONLINE Edition
Solo guitar
Albania International Guitar Festival is organizing the 5-th International Competition for Classical Guitar, which will be held from 12 – 15 December 2024 ONLINE. Deadline video acceptance is 8st December.
In the Albania International Competition can participate guitarists from any nationality.
Competition is divided into six categories.
Youth Competition
– Category I – Competitors born January 1-st, 2012 and younger).
Program: Max 7 minutes
– Category II – Competitors born January 1-st, 2010 and younger).
Program: Max 10 minutes
– Category III – Competitors born January 1-st, 2008 and younger).
Program: Max 12 minutes
– Category IV – Competitors born January 1-st, 2005 and younger).
Program: Max 14 minutes
Albania International Guitar Competition
Category V – without age limit
Program: First round – max 12 – 14 minutes
Second round – max 18 minutes
Category Junior,I, II, III, IV program is free, but evaluation criteria is the diversity of the program.
- In the Vth category only the in the first round, guitarists should have at least one work by various stylistic period in their program. The second round is free program but not the same pieces with the first round.
Jury will choose three participants with the best points to advance to the second round of the Vth Category.
The program is played by heart with no repetitions.
Members of the jury listen to the whole program.
The order of the presentation of the contestants in all categories will be based on the alphabetical order.
One competitor can compete only in two categories.
Members of the jury are not entitled to vote for participants in the competition who are their pupils or students or have family relations.
The jury’s decisions are indisputable.
The Festival reserves the right of audio / TV recording of competitions and broadcast of these materials without being forced to get the permission of the performers.
During the competition, jury members give rewards according to points:
First Category points are:
Ist Prize from 90.00 to 100 points
IInd Prize from 80.00 to 89.99 points
IIIrd Prize from 70.00 to 79.99 points
Diploma 00.00 to 69,99 points.
For Second, Third and Fourth Category points are:
Ist Prize from 93.00 to 100 points
IInd Prize from 85.00 to 92.99 points
IIIrd Prize from 75.00 to 84.99 points
Diploma 00.00 to 74,99 points.
For the Fifth Category point are:
Ist Prize award from 95.00 to 100 points
IInd Prize award from 90.00 to 94.99 points
IIIrd Prize from 85.00 to 89.99 points
Diploma 00.00 to 84,99 points.
*First Prize award in category V will be given only to the participant who has the best points from 95.00 to 100 p.
Results will be published after finishing each category. Competitors earn certificates for Ist, IInd and IIIrd reward, while others earn Certificate of Participation.
*ONLY THREE FIRST PLACES GETS THE PRIZES AWARDS ( for all Categories)..
In case that several competitors have the same scores, then sequential list will be decided by jury.
The first prize for category I,II,III,IV is won by the competitor who has the most points.
The jury reserves the right not to assign certain places and awards.
The winner of a category cannot compete in the same category the following year.
Participation fee:
Category I – 20 Euro
Category II – 30 Euro
Category III – 30 Euro
Category IV – 40 Euro
Category V – 50 Euro
GENERAL RULES FOR VIDEO RECORDINGS
To include the entire competition program.
To have no interruptions (edited videos are not allowed).
The recording file must have the MP4 extension, must be in the 16:9 rate, in landscape format (not portrait).
The minimum resolution should be HD-Ready 720p (1280×720px), 30 fps. Higher resolutions are allowed.
The frame should be stable, the face and hands of competitors should be clearly visible at all times.
The distance from the camera to the performer should not be less than 2 meters and not more than 4 meters.
The candidate must upload the video in YouTube, and write in the tittle his/her name, name of competition and the year. In the description must be written all the program and other information.

Category III
First prize – Altamira gift box, GuitarLift, Alba Guitar Beads, Diploma, Free participation at Redi Marku Guitar Competition 2025, Free Participation at Juchener Guitar Competition 2025.
Second prize –Alba Guitar Beads, Free participation at Albania International Guitar Competition 2025, Diploma.
Third prize – Diploma, Alba Guitar Beads.
Category IV
First prize – Altamira gift box, Diploma, GuitarLift, Strings by Mail gift certificate of 50 $, Alba Guitar Beads, Free participation at Redi Marku Guitar Competition 2025, Free Participation at Juchener Guitar Competition 2025
Second prize – Gift Certificate of 30$ by Strings By Mail, Alba Guitar Beads, Free participation at Albania International Guitar Competition 2024, Diploma.
Third prize – Diploma, Alba Guitar Beads, Albania International Guitar Competition 2024.
Category V
First Prize: High model Concert classical guitar from Altamira Guitars, Savarez Strings, Alba Guitar Beads, Gift Certificate Strings By Mail, Diploma, Free Participation at Juchener Guitar Competition 2025
Second prize – Savarez Strings, GuitarLift, Alba Guitar Beads, Free participation at Albania International Guitar Competition 2025, Diploma.
Third prize – Diploma, Alba Guitar Beads, Savarez Strings, Gift Certificate Strings By Mail, Free participation at Albania International Guitar Competition 2025.

Ganador is a high model of Altamira, made by Hanson Workshop.
